So Many Activities

'Twas a snow day today, aaaaaaaaa, so nice! Just wanted to drop by to show off all of Jack's new special skills and interests through a few videos. I joke with visitors that baby watching is the new tv, it is. There isn't a lot going on in these videos and yet they are packed full of activity.This boy is B.U.S.Y. lately. 

One of his new favorite places in the house in under the dining room table and chairs. Today was particularly awesome because he had a envelope to rip up whilst at his favorite hangout.

Oh and did you catch what name this little sparrow dropped at the very, very beginning of the second show? Yup, that's a "Mama", not sure if it was intentional or not, but it's there and I will take it.

P.S. My goofy voice is SO loud, sorry.

P.P.S. Can you believe those chubby little baby hands? Oh.my.goodness. And the baby socks that are about to fall off? Too much!

Saturday Morning Checklist

Made it to Saturday morning. Thank.Goodness.For.Saturday.

Here is my checklist for a successful Saturday morning:

• A husband who took our little nocturnal 6-month-old downstairs to play at 6:30am, so this exhausted mama could have a few extra hours of sleep, CHECK
• Flannel morning attire and a warm bed to call home all morning, CHECK
• Tired baby who finds his way back into the bed via said amazing husband for a long morning nap, CHECK
• Husband who heads to the grocery store to get fixin's for brunch and dinner while said baby and mama are hunkering down in said cozy, warm bed, CHECK

Coming up some day...Jack's 6 month well child visit,  a half-year birthday letter for our little owl, er, sparrow and possibly a very honest post about being a new working mama (spoiler alert: it isn't easy)

Wait, are you still there?

Yes, faithful readers (if you are out there), we are still here. Going back to work has thrown me a bit of a curveball and I have barely  been able to find the time to pee (TMI? true story.), nonetheless write a blog. But, routine has settled in (sort of) and there is so much to share! Be back in a few days with a 5-month update about this little guy.

P.S. Most of the photos I put out there of Jack showcase his big grin, but I find his confused "What are you doing Mama?" look just as endearing, so I decided to put it out into the universe too.

Someone is excited...

because the cheeks he'd been promised, the cheeks that have been passed down from generation to generation, have finally arrived!

Couldn't you just kiss those sweet little cheeks all day long?

A Whole New World

Yes, yes I did. My first blog post and the title's namesake is from a ballad featured in a prominent early 90's Disney movie, apologies readers (and Peabo Bryson). Sometimes a girl just wants to have fun(ahhhhhh, cannot stop).
 
I am embarking upon the journey of motherhood to the awesome Jack Milton and want to document it to keep the friend/family group in the loop (rhyming and apparently parentheses are a must on this blog). There will be candor about parenting/life and lots of photos of the most adorable boy ever (you have been forewarned and I am totally biased). More to come my loves...
